The UPS Store Hometown Heros platform highlights fellow Austinites for their work in making Austin a better place to live, work, learn, and play. Throughout the 2025 season, Austin FC and The UPS Store are working together to celebrate heroes from our community!

2025 Hometown Hero Winners
October 4 - Kerry Tillery
Kerry is a pillar of community service in Austin. A founding member of the Austin Laundry Project, she has led volunteers and organized fundraising efforts to provide clean laundry for families in need. She also coordinates Los Verdes and Austin Anthem supporters, mobilizing hundreds to serve local nonprofits. Beyond this, she advocates for Chiari Malformation, sharing her personal journey to raise awareness. Despite her own medical challenges, Kerry continues to uplift Austin’s most overlooked communities.


August 16 - Michael Wilson
Michael Wilson is an integral part of the Austin community. From helping to start Caregiver University with St. David’s Foundation to ensuring the city’s most vulnerable seniors were fed and looked after during the pandemic through his work at Meals on Wheels, Michael’s dedication has created lasting change in Austin.
May 3 - Kierstin Howard
Born and raised in South Austin, Kierstin Howard is a dedicated Principal at REAL Learning Academy. She leads with an “All means All” approach, advocating for every student, family, and staff member. Her passion for education and community makes her a true Hometown Hero.
