Overview

Austin, Texas is one of the nation’s fastest growing cities, and over the years has become a major tech hub and professional sports destination, furthering the enhancement of its culture and diversity. With this growth, the opportunity to support the city’s diverse population has become more apparent. Austin FC and Q2 are envisioning a Central Texas community where everyone has the opportunity and access to the resources they need to thrive.

Together, Austin FC + Q2 are teaming up to support local nonprofits dedicated to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in Central Texas. As part of the annual program, Austin FC and Q2 will award three (3) separate $50,000 grants to three (3) nonprofit organizations that focus on the advancement of underrepresented communities, through the following impact areas: Education, Job Skills & Readiness, and Health & Wellness.

The CareBOX Program mission is to prevent malnutrition, infections, and injuries from falls by providing free essential care supplies to cancer patients in CentralTexas who are recovering from cancer at home. Our patients are typically the underserved in our community.

“I want to express our profound gratitude for the grant provided to CareBOX Program, said Ms. Chandler Stancliff, Executive Director, CareBOX Program. "Austin FC’s generous contribution will go a long way in ensuring that the CareBOX Program can continue to make a positive impact in the local cancer community. Again, we can’t thank everyone involved in this decision enough, we are extremely grateful and excited to work with Austin FC!”

Established in 2005, Health Alliance for Austin Musicians provides access to affordable healthcare services for Austin’s low-income, working musicians, with an emphasis on wellness and prevention. As the healthcare system has grown increasingly complex over the past two decades, HAAM continues to expand its expertise to ensure low-income musicians have access to critical health and wellness services.

“HAAM is honored to be a recipient of the Q-mmunity grant is support of our life saving programs and services," said Christopher Alberts, HAAM Chief Development Officer. "For every $100 raised HAAM is able to leverage $700 worth of healthcare services for low-income working musicians in Central Texas, meaning Q-mmunity's contribution will provide $350,000 worth of care including preventative and speciality care, dental, mental health, vision, hearing, and basic needs. We are so grateful for the support that helps keep music in Austin alive and well."

"It is a huge honor to have been chosen as a 2023 Q-mmunity Gives Recipient!" said Dan Leal, Chief Executive Officer, Seedling Foundation. "This generous gift will bring needed financial support and awareness for Seedling's life-changing mentoring program for children impacted by parental incarceration.
