Austin FC defender Žan Kolmanič was voted to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Matchday for his role in the team’s 1-1 away draw with Minnesota United FC on Saturday at Allianz Field. Kolmanič earns his first Team of the Matchday honor of 2025.
Kolmanič, who has been with Austin since the start of the team’s inaugural season, netted his first career goal for the Verde & Black in the 27th minute of the match. The Slovenian fullback finished off an excellent team counterattacking move with a precise left-footed shot, scoring after Jon Gallagher, Osman Bukari, and Myrto Uzuni quickly worked the ball from one end of the pitch to the other.
