4ATX Foundation and Brightstar Lottery celebrated the end of the Verde Leaders Fall season with a community tournament and Gear Giveback. Students and families from all five participating middle schools competed in a friendly tournament and gathered in Team Circles to reflect on their growth this season.
This year marked the third consecutive year of Brightstar’s support for the Gear Giveback, a partnership that has already impacted more than 500 young people.
“Brightstar is proud to partner with 4ATX Foundation and celebrate the incredible work they do year-round.” Said Dawn Espinosa, General Manager at Brightstar Texas. “Soccer is part of Austin’s heartbeat, and we’re honored to play even a small role in supporting a program that empowers young leaders to grow, connect, and thrive both on and off the field.”
Families joined in the festivities as well, enjoying free food, arts & crafts, and time together during the tournament. At the end of the day, every Verde Leader who attended took home a brand-new Adidas bag filled with soccer gear, courtesy of Brightstar.
“A massive thank you to Brightstar for helping us elevate our end-of-season celebration, and for investing in our students,” said 4ATX Foundation Executive Director, Kaitlin Mauro. “With the holidays coming up, we’re glad we can send Verde Leaders off with brand-new soccer gear to keep their skills sharp during the winter break.”
The event was a joyful close to the season and a reminder of the power of community partnerships to keep Austin’s next generation inspired and ready for what’s ahead.
