Q2 Stadium, home of Austin FC, today announced a multi-year partnership with Uber Technologies, Inc. Uber becomes the stadium’s official rideshare partner, adding seamless, safe, and innovative transportation options to fans’ matchday experience.
“Austin FC’s new partnership with Uber will allow our matchday experience to be more seamless from the moment fans leave home to the moment they return,” said Austin FC President Andy Loughnane. “Uber will help improve transportation access at Q2 Stadium while also setting a new standard for how both traditional and autonomous rideshare can function at major live events.”
With Uber and Waymo’s recently expanded 130+ square-mile operating territory, Austin riders matched with a Waymo vehicle—exclusively on the Uber app—will soon be able to enjoy a more seamless pickup and drop-off experience at Q2 Stadium. Other facets of the new partnership include ongoing improvements to pickup and dropoff operations, intuitive on-site and in-app wayfinding, as well as infrastructure designed to support improved traffic flows.
“For more than a decade, Uber has powered millions of rides to and from major live events, navigating the unique challenges that come with moving large crowds safely and efficiently,” said Camiel Irving, Vice President of Operations at Uber. “This partnership with Q2 Stadium brings together our deep operational experience and innovative technologies to redefine what seamless, modern event transportation can look like.”
The 2026 Austin FC season kicks off at home against Minnesota United FC on Saturday, February 21 (7:30 p.m. CT | Apple TV). For tickets to that match and others, visit austinfc.com/tickets.
