Austin FC goalkeeper Brad Stuver was voted to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Matchday and forward Myrto Uzuni earned a spot on the Team of the Matchday bench for their roles in the team’s 2-1 home win over Seattle Sounders FC on Sunday night at Q2 Stadium. Both players collect their third Team of the Matchday honor of 2025.
Stuver made five (5) crucial saves, many of which came in the second half with the score tied 1-1. In total, he prevented 1.81 expected goals from Seattle. Stuver needs six (6) more saves during the regular season to set a new MLS record for the most saves in a five-year span.
Uzuni scored the winning goal in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time. It was his fifth goal in his last seven (7) MLS starts, and the team’s sixth goal scored in the 90th minute or later of a match this season.
