Austin FC fell 2-0 against San Diego FC Saturday night at Snapdragon Stadium, ending a stretch of nine (9) matches in the month of May.

Both sides searched for an opportunity to open the scoring in the first half. San Diego came close to taking the lead just before halftime but Brad Stuver was there to make the save.

The VERDE & Black applied pressure to begin the second half. Brandon Vazquez put a strong header on target which SDFC’s CJ Dos Santos tipped over the bar.

The hosts eventually found the net in the 60th minute to take the lead and secured the win by scoring again in stoppage time.
