Austin FC Outlook

Austin FC is coming off back-to-back wins prior to the international break, most recently recording a 2-1 win at home against New York Red Bulls. In both of those wins, ATXFC made their mark early, scoring in the 6th minute in two consecutive matches. Brandon Vazquez added a winner in the second half, his team-leading eighth goal of the season.

Vazquez and Stuver received some good news on Wednesday as both players found out they had been named MLS All-Stars. The pair will represent ATXFC in the All-Star Game at Q2 Stadium on July 23.

After its first week off of the season, Austin heads west to the Evergreen State to take on Seattle. Though Lumen Field is one of MLS’ most difficult venues for away teams, ATXFC has earned results there in both of the last two seasons, winning 2-1 there in 2023 and drawing 0-0 there last year.

Austin will look to take advantage of Seattle’s busy match schedule and secure their third consecutive win as the month of June comes to an end.

Seattle Sounders FC Outlook

Seattle Sounders FC are coming off a 2-0 loss against 2025 UEFA Champions League winner Paris Saint-Germain in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™. Seattle was one of three MLS teams participating in this year’s Club World Cup, also facing off against Botafogo and Atlético Madrid.

In MLS play, Sounders FC currently sits in sixth place in the Western Conference, with a record of 7-6-5. It’s been a while since the Sounders have been in MLS action, most recently playing the Vancouver Whitecaps in early June. Notably, Seattle picked up two red cards during that match making both Jonathan Bell and Nouhou unavailable for the match against Austin this Saturday.

Albert Rusnák leads the way for Seattle offensively with seven goals and three assists. The Sounders enter Saturday level on 26 points with Austin FC, adding an extra layer of importance to this matchup.
