FirstTracks Sports Ventures Joins Austin FC Ownership Group; Austin FC Successfully Completes Planned Equity Raise

Austin FC today announced the addition of FirstTracks Sports to the Club’s ownership group, thus marking the successful completion of the planned equity raise which was finalized in 12 months.

FirstTracks Sports Ventures, which is managed by Jon-Erik Borgen, acquires a non-controlling, minority stake in the Club and joins Jenny Just, Matt Hulsizer, Tench Coxe, Tanuj Gulati, and Dave Snyderman as new members of the ownership group in 2025.

Austin FC Founder, CEO, and Majority Owner Anthony Precourt, together with his family, retains majority ownership control of the Club. Each additional member of the original investment group including co-founder Eduardo Margain, Marius Haas, Bryan Sheffield, Matthew McConaughey, David Kahn, and Toby Neugebauer remain as owners as well.

Jon-Erik Borgen is the Managing Director of FirstTracks Sports Ventures, a specialized investment group operated alongside his siblings Kaia and Randi Borgen. FirstTracks Sports Ventures is also a founding owner of Denver Summit FC, the first professional women’s sports team in Colorado and the 16th franchise of the National Women’s Soccer League.

Jon-Erik Borgen is also the President and CEO of Borgen Investment Group, a Denver-based single-family asset management firm focused on public equities and direct investments. He serves on several community and nonprofit boards in the Rocky Mountain and Denver Metro regions.
