International soccer is back once again with the October FIFA window, and Austin FC players from the first and second team levels have been called into action to help their respective countries on the pitch from October 6-14. Below are the players who have been announced by their federations thus far.
Dani Pereira (Venezuela)
Pereira and Venezuela will play a pair of friendlies in the United States, first taking on Argentina in Florida before facing Belize in Illinois. Austin’s No. 8 has six previous appearances for his country.
- Friday, October 10 at 7:00 p.m. CT: Argentina vs. Venezuela
- Tuesday, October 14 at TBD: Venezuela vs. Belize
Oleksandr Svatok (Ukraine)
Svatok and Ukraine continue their World Cup qualifying campaign with an away match against Iceland and a game against Azerbaijan (to be played in Poland). The Austin FC center back has played nine times for Ukraine to date.
