Austin FC fell 2-1 away against FC Cincinnati on Saturday night at TQL Stadium. Brandon Vazquez scored Austin’s goal, his third in two (2) matches this week.

FC Cincinnati opened the scoring early in the 12th minute, with Evander sneaking a shot from outside the box past a diving Brad Stuver. Austin almost responded immediately with Vazquez shooting just wide from Jon Gallagher’s cross.

The Verde & Black found an equalizer three (3) minutes into in the second half, with Vazquez converting a penalty won by Gallagher. Stuver made a massive save in the 57th minute, denying Kévin Denkey, but Cincinnati retook the lead in the 76th minute with the goal that stood up as the match-winner.
