Austin FC Draws at Home with Houston

report

Austin FC tied 2-2 against Houston Dynamo FC on Saturday night at Q2 Stadium.

Club captain Ilie Sánchez gave Austin the lead in the 31st minute. Finding space in the box, Sánchez headed Owen Wolff’s corner kick delivery on target. His initial attempt was saved but he had plenty of room to put away the rebound for his first MLS goal in an Austin shirt.

Guilherme Biro doubled the advantage before halftime, netting his third goal of the season. Osman Bukari danced through defenders in the box and teed the Brazilian up for a header. The assist was Bukari’s team-high sixth of the season in the league.

Jack McGlynn scored twice in the closing minutes though to help the visitors steal a point.
