Following Austin FC’s 3-1 win over Houston Dynamo FC in the U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 on Wednesday night at Q2 Stadium, U.S. Soccer today confirmed that Austin FC will face San Jose Earthquakes away at PayPal Park in the tournament’s Quarterfinal Round on either Tuesday, July 8 or Wednesday, July 9. The date, kickoff time, and broadcast information for the match will be confirmed in the coming days.
In the event Austin FC advances to the U.S. Open Cup Semifinal Round, it would face either Minnesota United FC away or host Chicago Fire FC on September 16 or 17. In the event Austin FC reaches the U.S. Open Cup Final, it would host the match at Q2 Stadium on October 1.
