Austin FC announced today the participating teams and schedule for El Arbolito Cup, a U-13 and U-14 academy tournament taking place from December 12-14 at St. David’s Performance Center.
Teams from ATXFC and seven (7) other Major League Soccer academies will compete in the fifth edition of the annual tournament in Austin, including Chicago Fire FC, Colorado Rapids, FC Cincinnati, Houston Dynamo FC, Inter Miami CF, Orlando City SC, and St. Louis City SC.
Each team will play four group stage matches before playing a fifth match based on their performance in the group matches. Games will consist of two 25-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime for the U-13 age group, and two 35-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime for the U-14s, with champions crowned on Sunday, December 14.
In the group stages, Austin FC’s U-14 team will compete against teams from Chicago, Miami, St. Louis, and Cincinnati. Austin FC’s U-13 side will face Cincinnati, Houston, Chicago, and Orlando.
