Austin FC and Planet Fitness partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Austin and Austin ISD to bring new exercise equipment to students at LBJ Early College High School. The donation includes ellipticals, stationary bikes, and Arc trainers, giving students access to high-quality fitness tools that support both physical health and personal development.
“Austin FC is proud to collaborate with Planet Fitness and Boys and Girls Clubs of Austin to support the young people at LBJ Early College High School,” said Trennis Jones, VP of Community Impact at Austin FC. “All of our students deserve access to tools that can enrich their development, and we believe collaborations like this strengthen our community.”
Planet Fitness echoed that commitment. “Through our partnership with Boys and Girls Club of Austin, we are thrilled to be a part of this and building communities through fitness,” said Will Mensing, Regional Director of Planet Fitness.
“In every great community, there’s a heartbeat — and often, that heartbeat is found in athletics. Sports have a way of bringing people together, breaking barriers, and reminding us that we’re stronger when we move as one,” said Randy Bryant, Principal of LBJ Early College High School.
LBJ has a long tradition of using its strong athletic programs to enrich the educational experience of its students, and this initiative builds on that legacy, helping the students grow stronger in the classroom, in athletics and in life.
