Austin FC Academy wrapped up regular season play with a full slate of matches on the road, including key performances that secured top finishes in the Frontier Division for both the U-16 and U-19 teams.
U-16s and U-19s Finish First in the Frontier Division
The U-16s delivered a dominant 4-0 win over FC Dallas on Saturday to clinch the top spot in their division, continuing a season of strong team play and defensive discipline. the U-19s also secured first place with a hard fought 0-0 draw, capping off an impressive regular season.
Competitive Weekend for Younger Age Groups
The U-13s played two matches over the weekend, drawing 1-1 with FC Dallas on Saturday before bouncing back with a 5-1 win over Dallas Hornets on Sunday.
The U-14s dropped a narrow 2-1 result to FC Dallas and then returned to the pitch on Sunday with another tight 2-1 loss against Dallas Hornets.
The U-15s fell 4-1 to FC Dallas in their final regular season matchup.
Playoff Matchups Set for MLS NEXT Cup
Austin FC Academy now looks ahead to postseason action:
- U-15s will face Weston FC
- U-16s will take on BW Gottschee
- U-19s will face Indy Eleven
All three playoff matches will take place in Nashville from June 14 to June 22, as Austin FC Academy continues its mission to develop the next generation of VERDE talent.
