Austin, TX â€“ 4ATX Foundation, a community impact extension of Austin FC, the 27th Club in Major League Soccer (MLS), has announced that it is partnering with Capital Area Youth Soccer Association (CAYSA), a 501(c)3 non-profit supporting soccer for young people and their communities across Central Texas. 4ATX Foundation will provide multiple full and partial scholarships to CAYSA Junior Academy participants for the 2020-21 season, focusing on young female soccer players and youth players from socio-economically challenged backgrounds.

A minimum of thirty (30) needs-based full scholarships will be awarded to U7 through U10 female soccer players from Austin and Central Texas, as well as additional partial youth scholarships for both boys and girls. 4ATX Foundation will also pay all CAYSA registration costs for U7 through U10 players for the 2020-21 season. The scholarship awards and registration fees represent a total investment of over $45,000 in youth soccer participation expenses, benefiting over 1,500 players.

Parents or guardians of young female players wishing to apply for the Junior Academy scholarship program can do so via this link (English language) or (En español). Parents or guardians of CAYSA club participants in the age brackets U7 through U10 will benefit from the CAYSA club registration fee funding program automatically when they register for CAYSA programs.

"We are proud to support CAYSA and our local soccer community in Austin and throughout Central Texas,” commented Kaitlin Swarts, Executive Director of 4ATX Foundation and VP of Community Engagement for Austin FC. “30 young female players are going to be able to take part in their CAYSA club programs with full funding, and approximately 1,500 youth participants from our region will have their CAYSA registration fees covered for the forthcoming season. By supporting an important local soccer organization that is doing wonderful work in our community, we are executing our mission of growing soccer throughout our region.”

“CAYSA is extremely excited to enter into this partnership,” said David Buckler, CAYSA President. “The generosity of Austin FC and 4ATX Foundation will enable more players to participate in our academy programs while continuing to build a larger soccer community in Central Texas.”

“This CAYSA scholarship and funding program has a direct, positive impact on the growth of soccer in Austin and Central Texas. It provides support to U7 through U10 players, who are at a critical stage of their development,” added Tyson Wahl, Austin FC Academy General Manager. “I believe that this is one of the best ways Austin FC can help grow the game in our region, offering support to clubs through CAYSA, an organization that assists players of all abilities and socioeconomic backgrounds.”
