Austin FC and Club partner Window Nation recently joined forces on the Verde Heroes Home Upgrade initiative, surprising local military veteran and Austin FC season ticket member A.J. Yowler and his family with free new windows for their home.
A.J., an original Austin FC season ticket member since 2021, was nominated by his wife Victoria. A.J. served in the U.S. Army National Guard after 9/11 and as a combat medic in Iraq. Window Nation worked with the Yowlers to fit their home for new windows, and on installation day, Austin FC goalkeeper Brad Stuver paid the family a surprise visit.
“Honestly, winning the award was mixed emotions. It’s overwhelming,” said A.J. Yowler. “I’m so very grateful to have been chosen because I know there’s a lot of worthy veterans out there.”
