Austin FC defender Oleksandr Svatok was voted to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Matchday bench for his role in the team’s 2-1 away win over Portland Timbers on Saturday night at Providence Park.
Svatok entered the match as an 83rd minute substitute and scored the game’s decisive goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time. The Ukrainian international was first to a rebound in the box and finished past Portland goalkeeper James Pantemis to earn the Verde & Black a second consecutive victory on the road in league play.
