Austin FC defender Guilherme Biro was voted to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Matchday for his role in the team’s 1-1 draw with San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday night at Q2 Stadium.
Biro scored on the last play of the game, reacting quickest to a knockdown in the box from Christian Ramirez and firing a left-footed finish past San Jose goalkeeper Angus Gunn. It was the second time in recent weeks that the Brazilian has scored a late result-changing goal, following his 87th minute strike against Seattle on August 19 which proved to be the match-winner.
Biro also recorded eight duels won, three tackles, and three clearances in the draw with San Jose.
