Austin FC announced today that the Club signed midfielder Jorge Alastuey to a Major League Soccer (MLS) contract. Alastuey, who has competed with Austin FC II since the start of the 2025 season, joins on a deal guaranteed through the end of the 2026 season. The contract includes options for the 2027 sprint season and for the 2027-28 full season.
Alastuey becomes the fourth member of the current squad to sign a first team contract with the Club after initially signing with Austin FC II, following Micah Burton, Ervin Torres, and Riley Thomas.

A native of Zaragoza, Spain, Alastuey joined Austin FC II in January 2025. He has 19 goals and eight (8) assists in 39 MLS NEXT Pro appearances to date. Alastuey led ATXFC II in goal contributions last season with 16 (10 goals, six assists) and is doing so again this season with 11 (nine goals, two assists) as the team sits in first place in the MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference. Alastuey made his MLS debut for Austin FC while signed to a Short-Term Agreement on March 14, 2026, playing 31 minutes as a substitute vs. Real Salt Lake. He then made his first career MLS start against San Jose Earthquakes on April 22, 2026.

Alastuey began his youth career in the academy setup of his hometown club Real Zaragoza before moving to FC Barcelona’s La Masia in 2016. Alastuey represented FC Barcelona at the U-16, U-18, and U-19 levels, and also represented Italian Serie A side Napoli at the U-19 level. His first stints at the senior professional level were with CD Teruel in Spain and LKS Lodz in Poland.
Alastuey will occupy Supplemental and International designations on the Austin FC roster. Alastuey remains eligible to appear in matches for Austin FC II via a loan.
