Austin FC Academy continued its season with another strong weekend across the pathway, with all six teams earning victories against AC River. The weekend featured multiple clean sheets and several examples of teams adapting to challenges throughout their matches. U18s Continue to Find the Back of the Net
The U18s defeated AC River U19s 5-1 in another convincing attacking performance against a year-older opponent. Nico Siqueiros opened the scoring in the 26th minute, assisted by Nico Rojas, before Rocco Viana added back-to-back goals in the 35th and 38th minutes, with Kevin Houar and Zayden Seyhoon providing the assists. Luke Garcia extended the lead shortly after halftime in the 46th minute, assisted by Seyhoon, before Xavier Brown capped the scoring in the 90th minute with an assist from Ryan Diaz. U17s Make Early Statement
The U17s opened the weekend with a commanding 5-0 win over AC River, scoring four times in the first half before adding another early in the second. Luke Garcia struck twice (2', 9'), while Abdiel Alvarez (28'), Orles Iljadhi (42') and Xavier Brown (52') also found the net. The group showed improvement in defending direct play and breaking the opponent's first line of pressure, while every player contributed minutes in the clean-sheet performance. The U16s earned a 2-0 win over AC River, with Nathan Stokes opening the scoring in the 15th minute and Easton Lester adding a second in the 55th, both assisted by Luke West. Austin created numerous chances through its high press and did well defending the opponent's direct play. That defensive discipline is what ultimately led the group to secure another clean sheet. The U15s earned a 5-1 victory over AC River behind a hat trick from Alexander Kilpatrick (2', 21', 32') and two goals from Gyan Zardes (23', 35'). Seven U14 players started for the team, providing another opportunity for younger players to continue progressing within the age group.
Austin found success both in transition and through combinations in possession, while its defensive organization helped create opportunities to attack quickly after regaining the ball. Kilpatrick and Zardes were among the standout performers, with Malakii Lopez also turning in a strong performance at center back. U14s Overcome Challenges to Complete Comeback
The U14s battled through an eventful 5-2 victory over AC River, with Antonio Quiroga recording a hat trick (25', 56', 58'), alongside goals from Gabriel Giacomazzi (32') and Eli Daniel (80'). After a difficult opening 20 minutes, the group made adjustments at halftime and came out with its best stretch of the match, controlling possession, and creating several chances. After going up 4-2, Austin was reduced to 10 men following a red card, but the group defended its lead before capping the victory with a late team goal created through third-man movement and quick combinations. U13s Respond to Adversity with Commanding Victory
The U13s overcame a difficult stretch to claim a 5-2 win over AC River. Michael Owuor (40'), Thiago Cibrian (51'), Nathan Akrout (68') and Ronan Addo (73', 75') provided the goals. After falling behind 2-1, the group remained composed, stayed connected and continued to play with confidence, ultimately regaining control of the match. Addo led the way with a brace, while Teddy Sokolovic and Eddie Eomo were also recognized for their performances.
