Austin FC Academy teams competed across two major tournaments, with the U-15s and U-16s facing international competition at the Generation Adidas Cup and the U-13s and U-14s delivering strong performances at the Dallas Cup.
Generation Adidas Cup
U-16s Grow in Tournament Play
The U-16s opened the tournament with a 2-0 result against Busan Ipark before responding with a 3-1 win over St. Louis SC. Luke Garcia (15') and Erick Feliciano (25', 60') led the scoring in the victory.
In their final group match, the U-16s played to a 1-1 draw against Toronto, with Luke Garcia finding the net in the 20th minute, before falling in penalties. The squad finished third in their group with four points, gaining valuable experience against international opposition.
U-15s Gain Valuable Tournament Experience
The U-15s began with a 1-1 draw against New England Revolution, narrowly falling in a penalty shootout. They followed with a 1-0 result against Cedar Stars before closing group play with a 2-0 win over Vancouver, powered by a brace from Abdiel Alvarez (35', 58').
The U-15s finished third in their group, competing in tightly contested matches throughout the tournament.
Dallas Cup
U-14s Make Run to the Final
The U-14s put together an impressive run at the Dallas Cup, reaching the final after a series of strong performances. They opened with a 2-0 win over KC Legends, with goals from Braylon Marin (39'), and Alexander Kilpatrick (51'). Followed by a 1-0 victory against DKSC thanks to Ryan Thompson (44') and a 4-1 result over North Toronto Nitros, with goals from Braylon Marin (1'), Ryan Thompson (26', 35'), and Oliver Hamadi (65') in group play. In the quarterfinals, the U-14s defeated Dallas Texans Academy 2-0 thanks to a brace from Oliver Hamadi (19', 44') and advanced past Gokay Mex in the semifinals after a 1-1 draw from Oliver Hamadi (43'), winning 5-4 in penalties. In the final, they battled Eintracht Frankfurt to a 2-2 draw, with goals from Saul Luna (17') and Ryan Thompson (20') before falling in a penalty shootout, finishing as tournament finalists.
U-13s Show Strong Attacking Form
The U-13s opened the tournament with a 4-0 win over DKSC, with goals from Jordan McClanahan (25'), Mathew Newbrough (36'), Gyan Zardes (66'), and Marcelo Beverido (67').
They followed with a 2-1 win over FC Dallas, with goals from Jordan McClanahan (18') and Gabriel Giaccomazzi (55'), before delivering an 8-0 performance against MAD Sports St. Lucia. Giaccomazzi (20', 55', 57'), Charlie Blake (24', 44'), Mohamed Sillah (35', 39'), and Alex Leyva (70') all contributed to the result.
In the quarterfinals, the U-13s played to a 1-1 draw against Academia O, with Mohamed Sillah scoring in the 34th minute, before falling in penalties.
