Austin FC Academy teams were back at home this past weekend, competing across multiple age groups and showcasing resilience and growth throughout regular season play.
U-14s Earn Two Home Wins
On Saturday, the U-14s secured a 2-0 victory over Albion SC Colorado behind early and late goals from EJ Balboa (2') and Ari Kaplun (78'). The group followed with a 3-1 win against AC River on Sunday. Ryan Thompson opened the scoring (11'), while Xander Kilpatrick (68') and Oliver Hamadi (70') added second half goals to seal the victory.
U-16s Split Result with Colorado Rapids
The U-16s played to a 2-2 draw against Colorado Rapids, with Erick Feliciano scoring twice (55', 75') to secure the result.
U-15s Share Points at Home
The U-15s finished level at 1-1 versus Colorado Rapids. Walter Lazo found the next in the 25th minute as the squad earned a point in a competitive matchup.
U-18s Hold Colorado Scoreless
The U-18s battled to a 0-0 draw against Colorado Rapids, maintaining defensive organization throughout the match.
U-13s Face Tough Tests
The U-13s fell 2-1 to Albion SC Colorado on Saturday, with Jordan McClanahan scoring in the 29th minute. Later in the weekend, the group dropped a 3-2 result to AC River. Dominic Ibanez (16') and Gyan Zardes (59') both found the net in a back-and-forth contest.
