Austin FC Academy teams faced a mix of results this weekend, highlighted by a strong showing from the U-18s and competitive performances across all age groups.
U-18s Put Together Complete Performance against Miami
The U-18s secured a 4-1 win over Inter Miami CF. David Romero opened the scoring in the 20th minute, followed by goals from Jacob Peale (50'), Sebastian Setierle (65'), and Christian Ayala (82') to seal the result.
U-13s and U-14s Battle in Tulsa
On the road, the U-13s played to a 4-4 draw against Tulsa Greenwood. Dominic Ibañez (47'), Eli Daniel (60'), Gabriel Giacomazzi (62'), and Gyan Zardes (75') each found the back of the net in a back-and-forth match. The U-14s also earned a point in Tulsa with a 1-1 draw, as Laione Otuafi scored in the 19th minute to give the VERDE & Black an early lead.
U-15s Earn Point at Home
The U-15s played to a 1-1 draw against Inter Miami CF, with Luke West scoring in the 30th minute in a balanced contest.
U-16s Push Through Tough Match
The U-16s fell 7-2 to Inter Miami CF despite goals from Luke Garcia (10') and Erick Feliciano (70'). Austin FC Academy returns to action next weekend looking to build on the positives and continue development across all levels.
