U.S. Soccer announced that Austin FC Academy players Micah Burton (U-17), Ervin Torres (U-16), and Gavin Wolff (U-15) have each been invited to U.S. Men’s Youth National Team (MYNT) domestic training camps in Florida for their respective age groups from January 4-13.

“We’re very proud of Micah, Ervin, and Gavin for earning these opportunities to compete alongside the top players in the country in their age groups,” said Austin FC Academy General Manager Tyson Wahl. “They’ve performed well throughout the season so far, and we’re confident that their call-ups will provide a great experience for them in their development and that they will represent the Austin FC Academy well.”

Burton represented the U.S. U-17 MYNT multiple times in 2022, scoring in matches against Uruguay and Portugal and traveling with the team to compete in the Vaclav Jezek Youth Tournament in the Czech Republic last September.

Torres earns his fourth call-up to a U.S. MYNT and third at the U-16 level. He was also invited to one (1) U-16 Mexican Men’s Youth National Team training camp. At the 2022 MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs in July, Torres registered multiple impressive performances for the Austin FC U-15 team, including scoring a goal in the Round of 16 against Los Angeles FC.

Wolff plays as a midfielder and a defender for the Austin FC U-15 team, and was also invited to the U.S. U-15 MYNT training camp in Kansas City last October.

The trio were 3 of 7 players from the Austin FC organization to earn a youth national team call-up in 2022, joining Owen Wolff (U.S. U-19), Bryan Arellano (U.S. U-19), Anthony Gonzalez (U.S. U-19), and Abner Zuniga (U.S. U-15).
