4ATX Foundation, MFS Award College Scholarships to Local High School Seniors

Last week, 4ATX Foundation and Austin FC partner Managed Facility Solutions (MFS) teamed up to support Austin Soccer Foundation’s scholarship program by awarding $5,000 in college scholarship money to two standout Austin-area high school soccer players, in memory of Austin soccer legend Wolfgang Suhnholz.

MFS and 4ATX Foundation presented the Wolfgang Suhnholz Memorial Scholarship funds at the 2023 Austin Soccer Foundation Awards Ceremony to Ali Mohamad Elhagehassan and Isabelle Detrich.

“4ATX Foundation is proud to continue its partnerships with Austin Soccer Foundation and MFS to support standout student-athletes in their pursuit of higher education,” said 4ATX Foundation Executive Director Kaitlin Mauro. “It's exciting to honor young people in our community leveraging the power of soccer to shape their future."

"The time commitment each have made to perform at such a high level both in the classroom and on the soccer field, while also being great leaders in our community, is truly remarkable. We are excited to see both recipients continue to excel as leaders in college and all future endeavors.”

Elhagehassan is a graduate of the Liberal Arts and Science Academy. In addition to being Captain on his Lonestar Academy team, he was selected as MVP of club soccer league and accepted into National Honor Society and AISD Gifted and Talented. President of Arabic Club at LASA, with a 4.3 GPA, Ali plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin where he will study Civil Engineering.

Detrich is a graduate of James Bowie High School. In addition to being on the varsity volleyball and soccer team, Isabelle was awarded MVP Award, Best Defensive Player Award, and 2nd team all-district award. A National Honor Society member and AISD Trustee Scholar with a 4.3 GPA, Isabelle plans to attend University of Texas at Austin where she will major in Marketing/Psychology.
