During the summer of 2023, 4ATX Foundation’s positive youth development program Verde Leaders hosted two, week-long summer camps at the Home Campus of Boys & Girls Club of the Austin Area. Each camp lasted five days, and together served a total of 137 students across 31 zip codes. Campers played soccer, engaged in social-emotional learning activities, and went home with their own camp t-shirt.
“Through Swish & Chevron, 4ATX provided over 130 scholarships for young students across Austin to attend a week-long summer camp, with 82% of those surveyed saying it was their first time ever attending a summer camp,” said 4ATX Foundation Executive Director Kaitlin Mauro. "We’re also grateful to Boys & Girls Club of Austin for hosting our camps and providing access to their wonderful facilities.”
Nearly 100 students and their families were new to 4ATX Foundation.
“This camp was truly positive to both my son and daughter, they were truly engaged, loved the camaraderie with coaches and teammates. Thank you for creating a meaningful program and creating positive communities for youth.” said one surveyed parent.
