Austin FC captain Sebastián Driussi was selected to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Matchday following the team’s 1-0 home win over Houston Dynamo FC on Wednesday night at Q2 Stadium. Driussi earns his second Team of the Matchday honor of 2024.
Driussi scored the game’s only goal on Wednesday, popping up in the 87th minute to clean up a loose ball in the box following a corner kick. The goal was Driussi’s team-high fourth of the season. In addition to scoring, Driussi won a game-high eight (8) duels and created two (2) chances.
The Argentine Designated Player now has six (6) game-winning or game-tying goals scored after the 80th minute in his Austin FC career.
