4ATX Foundation, which uses the power of soccer to help Central Texas communities thrive, has announced a new partnership with Reed Smith, a global law firm with deep roots in the communities it serves.
Rooted in values like teamwork, respect, and meaningful impact, this collaboration reflects a mutual belief in showing up with purpose — investing in the city and strengthening a shared commitment to Central Texas and the communities that shape it. Reed Smith has been part of the Texas legal community for more than a decade, having opened its Austin office in 2018 as part of a broader commitment to the state.
Through its programs, 4ATX Foundation continues to build a pipeline of leadership across underserved communities, creating opportunities for young people to grow, lead, and carry those lessons far beyond the pitch. Whether through education, mentorship, or access to the game, the work is centered on preparing students for what comes next.
The partnership makes Reed Smith a supporting partner of Verde Leaders at Webb Middle School, fueling the program through the 2026-27 school year and advancing 4ATX’s goal to train and equip 10,000 young leaders as part of its 2025-30 Strategic Plan.
“Reed Smith’s presence in Central Texas and dedication to community engagement make them a natural partner,” said 4ATX Executive Director Kaitlin Mauro. “Together, we’re investing in students and helping equip the next generation of leaders for life far beyond the game.”
"We’re excited to see the impact of 4ATX, an organization that recognizes and nurtures the potential of Austin students," said Reed Smith's Austin Office Managing Partner Rebecca Jones McKnight. "We look forward to seeing these students thrive, and to celebrating their successes as the business and community leaders of tomorrow."
