Major League Soccer (MLS) announced today Austin FC midfielder Owen Wolff as a finalist for MLS Young Player of the Year.
Wolff, 18, has recorded a goal and three assists in 25 appearances (20 starts) for Austin in 2023. He also competed for the U.S. U-20 Men’s Youth National Team at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in June, starting all five of the team’s matches and contributing a goal and two assists.
The award winner will be determined following a vote by journalists, club technical staffs, and MLS players, with each group accounting for 33.3% of the total vote. Voting will open on Tuesday, Oct. 10 and conclude on Monday, Oct. 23, following the close of the MLS regular season.
