Austin FC fell 5-1 against San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday night at PayPal Park.

Joseph Rosales gave Austin an early advantage in the ninth minute, capitalizing on a San Jose mistake to record his first goal for the Club. The Honduran international intercepted a wayward pass and beat Earthquakes goalkeeper Daniel one on one.

Despite 11 saves by Brad Stuver, San Jose’s high-powered attack came to life in the second half to decide the outcome of the match. Austin FC Academy product Micah Burton made his first team debut in the final moments.
