Austin FC fell in a 5-0 defeat to San Diego FC on Wednesday night at Snapdragon Stadium.

San Diego established an early advantage with goals in the 8th and 17th minutes. The Verde & Black had chances of their own in the first half but could not quite convert a shot by Facundo Torres or a cross from CJ Fodrey that narrowly evaded Myrto Uzuni.

The home side then put the result out of reach in the second half as Pedro Soma scored from outside the box in the 54th minute, followed by late goals from Marcus Ingvartsen and David Vazquez.
