Austin FC fell in a 2-0 defeat to Nashville SC on Saturday night at GEODIS Park.

Neither team created many chances in the first half. Brad Stuver made a smart save to deny Nashville’s Jacob Shaffelburg in the 9th-minute, and Danny Hoesen came close on a pair of chances before the break.

The hosts took the lead in the 49th-minute through Walker Zimmerman. The U.S. international rose above a crowd and headed in Daniel Lovitz’s corner kick to put Nashville ahead.

Nashville then scored its second and third goals in the closing stages, with Hany Mukhtar finding the net twice to seal the points for his team.
