Austin FC fell in a 1-0 defeat against Colorado Rapids on Saturday night at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

Myrto Uzuni and Besard Sabovic both had quality chances in the first half, with the former going just wide of the post and the latter bringing a save from Colorado goalkeeper Nico Hansen. Facundo Torres and Brandon Vazquez also nearly opened the scoring on the other side of halftime as Austin pushed forward.

At the other end of the pitch, Brad Stuver made six saves, but it ultimately wasn’t enough as the Rapids won a penalty kick in stoppage time. Rafael Navarro converted to earn a win for the hosts.
