Austin FC fell in a 2-1 defeat to Sporting KC on Saturday night at Q2 Stadium.

Austin’s fullbacks combined to put the Verde & Black in front just before halftime. Desler connected perfectly with a first-time volley off a cross from Guilherme Biro, finishing to the bottom corner for his second career MLS goal.

Kansas City turned the game around though with late goals by Manu García and Stephen Afrifa to take all three (3) points.
