Austin FC returns to play following the FIFA World Cup break to take on Seattle Sounders FC at Q2 Stadium. The match will kick off at 8:30 p.m. CT.

Austin FC OutlookÂ
Following a two-month break in regular season play, Austin FC looks to use the reset to make a charge up the table and toward the playoff places.
The Verde & Black welcome Seattle to Q2 Stadium on Wednesday evening for the first of two matches in four days to kick off the second half of the season. The two last met in September 2025, resulting in a 2-1 victory for Austin thanks to Myrto Uzuni scoring in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time.
It will be the first chance for Austin FC fans to see summer signing Przemysław Płacheta in action. The winger arrived as a free agent having spent the last several years for various clubs in the English Premier League and English Championship.
Seattle Sounders FC OutlookÂ
Seattle already played its first match after the break, suffering a 5-1 defeat against Portland Timbers last Thursday evening. Seattle’s sole goal came from Hassani Dotson in the 87th minute, marking his first goal of the season.
Seattle currently sits in sixth place in the Western Conference with 24 points. Similar to Austin, the Sounders currently are facing back-to-back matches this week, both on the road. They have won 3 of 7 road games so far this year.
Prior to the World Cup break, Seattle recorded back-to-back losses against LAFC and LA Galaxy. The Sounders will be on the hunt for points to turn momentum around.
