Austin FC Outlook
Having earned draws in each of its last two matches at Q2 Stadium, the Verde & Black will look to earn all three points in front of their home support this time out. The team has managed to do so in two of its last three home games against Dallas, including a 3-0 win last season and a 2-1 victory in the 2022 MLS Western Conference Semifinals.
Saturday is likely to mark the first home match of the season in which captain SebastiƔn Driussi is fit from the start, offering a boost to the team. Driussi led the team in scoring in 2022 and 2023, and the Argentine is hungry to get off the mark this campaign.
At the other end of the pitch, Brad Stuver continues to be a reliable presence between the posts. Stuver made an impressive 6 saves last weekend, and leads MLS with 27 saves so far for the season.
FC Dallas Outlook
FC Dallas is coming off three straight losses in the month of March, most recently falling 3-1 against Vancouver Whitecaps at home. Their only goal came from midfielder Sebastian Lletget in the 40th minute of the match, marking his first goal for FC Dallas since the 2022 season.
Dallas has dealt with a handful of injuries to start the season. Defenders Sebastien Ibeagha, Geovane Jesus, Marco Farfan, midfielders Asier Illarramendi, Paxton Pomykal, Alan Velasco and forward Jesus Ferreira have all missed time. With the return of Ibeagha and Ferreira, FCD will look for an immediate impact on the pitch.
