Grubb initially joined Austin FC II as an assistant coach on January 4, 2023, and after helping ATXFC II to the MLS NEXT Pro title, he moved into a role as First Team Set Piece Coach ahead of the 2024 MLS season. In that role, Grubb is tasked with managing the teaching, planning, and execution of first team set pieces, cataloguing set pieces, and communicating strategy to Austin FC II and Austin FC Academy teams to integrate all Club programs into the team model.

Prior to joining Austin FC, Grubb worked as Houston Dynamo FC’s Head of Academy Goalkeeping and Houston Dynamo 2 Goalkeeping Coach. He also worked as Goalkeeping Coach for the U-20 U.S. Men’s Youth National Team from 2021-2022, where he helped the program win the Concacaf Under-20 Championship in 2022.

His coaching experience includes stints as the Goalkeeping Coach for the U-18 and U-20 U.S. Women’s Youth National Teams, as Head of Goalkeeping at IMG Academy, and as assistant coach at Quinnipiac University.
