Major League Soccer (MLS) and EA SPORTS FC Pro today revealed details for the upcoming eMLS 2024 season, announcing that for a third consecutive year, eMLS Cup will take place at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin. The eMLS Cup Group Stage is set for March 9, with the final knockout rounds in front of a live audience at ACL Live on March 10.
The Club also signed Diogo Mendes (“Diogo”) as its new eMLS athlete. Diogo will represent Austin FC in 2024 eMLS Cup events, and aim to qualify directly for the FC Pro World Championship by finishing as 1 of the top 2 players within eMLS Cup.
Diogo represented Liverpool FC in the 2022-2023 ePremier League, reaching the quarterfinal stage of the competition. Fans can follow him @diogomendess7 on Twitch, Instagram, and X.
Prior to eMLS Cup, eMLS players will take remotely take part in League Series 1 (February 16-18) and League Series 2 (March 1-3). The remote qualifiers and group stages of each League Series will be featured on each MLS club’s or player’s Twitch and YouTube channel, and fans can watch each event’s bracket on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/mls) and YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/mls).
