Austin FC midfielder and Designated Player Sebastián Driussi was named to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Week following his performance in Austin’s 3-3 draw against San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday night at Q2 Stadium. Driussi has now earned a team-high 10 Team of the Week selections this season.

Driussi scored his league-leading 15th and 16th goals of the season against San Jose on Saturday, finishing off a fluid team move in the 26th-minute and showing his skill in tight spaces to double his tally just before halftime. He leads MLS in goal contributions with 23, and has contributed to a goal in each of Austin FC’s last seven (7) matches, recording seven (7) goals and three (3) assists in that span.

Driussi’s performances this season earned selections to the MLS All-Star Skills Challenge and the MLS All-Star Game, both of which will take place in Minnesota this week on August 9 and 10 respectively.
