U.S. Soccer announced today that Austin FC defender Brandan Craig has been added to the U.S. Olympic Men’s Soccer Team roster for the program’s training camp in Phoenix, Arizona from October 8-18, in preparation for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris. The camp includes friendly matches against Mexico on October 11 and Japan on October 17.
Craig joined the Verde & Black on July 5 on loan through the end of the 2023 Major League Soccer season and will return to Austin ahead of the team’s regular season finale vs. San Jose Earthquakes on October 21.
The 19-year-old center back represented the U.S. U-20 Men’s Youth National Team (MYNT) at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina last June and has played 15 total matches for the U.S. at the U-20 international level.
