Austin FC and Major League Soccer (MLS) announced on Monday that the Club will host FC Cincinnati on February 26 at Q2 Stadium for its first match of the 2022 MLS regular season. The Club’s first match of the 2022 regular season will kick off at 5pm CDT and will feature a regional broadcast in English and Spanish language. Broadcast details including channel assignments and expanded distribution platforms across Central Texas will be released prior to the start of the 2022 regular season.

ATXFC was the only MLS club to sell out all 17 of its regular season home matches in 2021, with an average attendance of 20,738. The Verde & Black won seven MLS home matches in the Club’s inaugural season, scoring 27 goals across its matches at Q2 Stadium. Austin FC’s first goal and first win at Q2 Stadium both came in a 4-1 victory over the Portland Timbers on July 1, 2021. The match on February 26 will be the first-ever meeting between Austin FC and FC Cincinnati, and just the third-ever match between Austin FC and an Eastern Conference opponent.
