Austin FC plays 4ATX.

4ATX Foundation Night will take place at 8 p.m. CT on Saturday, Aug. 6 as Austin FC face off against San Jose Earthquakes.

Before, during and after the match, Austin FC will honor the Club’s non-profit arm, 4ATX Foundation, who has used the power of soccer to help communities thrive – socially, emotionally and physically – since 2019.

The festivities will get kicked off on Friday, Aug. 5., when the club announces the 2022 Legend of the Year, with a special moment to honor the recipient during Saturday’s match. The award recognizes contributions to building physically, socially and emotionally healthier communities in Central Texas. Austin FC goalkeeper Brad Stuver and Central Texas Food Bank President and CEO Derrick Chubbs were the 2021 Legend of the Year Award winners.

The Club will start matchday with help from Academy Sports + Outdoors, hosting an Equipment Drive for fans to donate new and gently used equipment to local Austin youth. The Equipment Drive will be hosted in H-E-B Plaza pre-match. Donations of the following items are needed: shin guards, soccer balls, cleats, new soccer socks, soccer shorts, goalie gloves, new sports bras and soccer bags.

On Saturday, 4ATX Foundation Night will start with a gift for early arriving fans. Upon entry, fans will be gifted a 4ATX Foundation Fan courtesy of SeatGeek while supplies last.

Verde Leaders, a feature program of 4ATX Foundation helping low-income students find personal and academic success, will be recognized and celebrated throughout the night. One Verde Leader will interview Austin FC Head Coach Josh Wolff pre-match, while Adrianna Martinez Resendiz, a Verde Leaders graduate, will perform the Heartbeat of Austin. At halftime, 50 Verde Leaders will be recognized on the pitch.

Austin FC partners are also pitching in to support 4ATX Foundation Night. The Zebra, Talroo, Socios.com and Covert Auto Group will welcome to Q2 Stadium 200 families previously served by the 4ATX Foundation.

The night will feature several special ways to support the work of the 4ATX Foundation.

One of the best ways to support the work of the 4ATX Foundation is the Verde Leaders Shirt. The night’s Merch of the Match Item, designed by local ATX artist Edith Valle, will see a percentage of sales go right back to the 4ATX Foundation.

And as always, 4ATX Foundation’s 50/50 Charitable Raffle will be live, giving one lucky fan the chance to win big. The Raffle awards half of the proceeds from 50/50 ticket sales to one lucky fan while the other half will benefit 4ATX Foundation. But on 4ATX Foundation Night, this winner will also receive an official, team-signed match ball.

Since 4ATX Foundation’s inception, they’ve worked to create an accessible, healthy and unified Central Texas community. 4ATX Foundation gets people playing by providing soccer scholarships and donating equipment.

They restore and build new Verde soccer pitches, creating safe spaces for families to connect and be active right in their own communities.

And to strengthen our communities for years to come, we are building the next generation of leaders through Verde Leaders, a positive youth development program that uses soccer to empower underprivileged students to find success on the soccer pitch, in the classroom, and in life.
