Leagues Cup today announced the full schedule for the tournament’s 2026 Quarterfinal Round, including Austin FC’s quarterfinal match against Liga MX side Toluca FC. Austin will face Toluca at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey on Wednesday, August 26, with kickoff at 8:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. CT.
A place in the Leagues Cup Semifinals is at stake after Austin FC qualified for the knockout rounds with regulation wins over Tijuana and Puebla, followed by a shootout win over Club América, all at Q2 Stadium in Phase One. Details on ticketing and media accreditation processes will be communicated as soon as available.
It is Austin FC’s second time qualifying for the Leagues Cup knockout rounds and its first time taking part in the quarterfinals. Should Austin advance, it would face the winner of Club León and Real Salt Lake on either Tuesday, September 1 or Wednesday, September 2 at a venue to be determined.
The top three finishers in Leagues Cup 2026 qualify directly for the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup, with the winner receiving a bye straight to the Champions Cup Round of 16.
Austin’s performances thus far in Leagues Cup 2026 have improved the Club’s record in competitive play against Liga MX opposition to 4-1-2. ATXFC also maintained its perfect record in penalty shootouts with its triumph over Club América, with the Verde & Black now having won all three of the shootouts in which it has taken part in Club history.
