The MLS SuperDraft 2023 presented by adidas will take place beginning at 4:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday, December 21. Austin FC own the 27th selection of the first round, the 27th selection of the second round (56th overall), and the 14th pick of the third round (72nd overall).
Austin FC selected midfielder Dani Pereira from Virginia Tech with the first overall pick of the 2021 MLS SuperDraft. Pereira has since gone on to make 55 MLS appearances for the Verde & Black during his first two seasons as a professional, recording two goals and four assists. In 2022, Austin FC selected defender Kipp Keller from Saint Louis University with the fifth overall pick. In his debut season, Keller played in six games, starting three, and logged 318 minutes played.
In advance of the MLS SuperDraft, technical staffs from every MLS club attended the adidas MLS College Showcase from Dec. 9-12 in Raleigh, N.C. in conjunction with the 2022 NCAA Men’s College Cup. The four-day event showcased 44 of the top collegiate prospects in the nation via a series of training sessions, testing, interviews and match play.

The first round of MLS SuperDraft 2023 presented by adidas will kick off at 4 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Dec. 21, with SuperDraft Pre-Show coverage streaming live on MLSsoccer.com, the MLS App, Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook, beginning at 3:30 p.m. CT. The broadcast will be hosted by Andrew Wiebe alongside Matt Doyle, Devon Kerr, Susannah Collins and Jillian Sakovits and will feature live look-ins inside club draft headquarters, video feeds and interviews from draftees, and on-location reporters following the day’s top stories.
In addition to the live show, all three rounds of draft will be available on the MLS SuperDraft Tracker with updates for each selection available in real time.
