Austin FC played to an 0-2 result against Sporting KC in the final match of the team's 2026 preseason on Saturday at the Coachella Valley Invitational.
Both teams created chances throughout the first half, but it was SKC's Dejan Joveljić who broke the deadlock with a 43rd-minute header. A total of three red cards in the second half reduced both teams to less than a full complement of players before Daniel Sallói added a second for Kansas City in the 89th minute.
