Austin FC Announces Pride Patch and Other Fundraising Efforts to Celebrate National Pride Month

ATXFC to partner with Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month with commemorative Pride Patch; Sunday, June 27th home match at Q2 Stadium named Austin FC’s Pride Night Match; Match worn Austin FC prematch jerseys to be auctioned to benefit the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce’s Education Fund

Austin, Texas â€“ Austin FC announced today that it will partner with the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce for the second consecutive year to celebrate National Pride Month with the sale of a commemorative Pride Patch, beginning today, June 1. Twenty percent of proceeds will benefit the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce’s Education Fund, a 501c(3) organization that awards scholarships to LGBTQ+ and allied students who exhibit leadership potential, strong academic abilities and involvement in school and community organizations. The Pride Patch will be available at the Verde Store, Austin FC’s flagship retail store at Q2 Stadium.


Additionally, Austin FC is launching a Pride-themed apparel line and a Pride pre-match jersey to be worn by Austin FC players during the Club’s Pride Night on Sunday, June 27. Select Austin-based LGBTQIA+ community members, including award-winning Austin musician Gina Chavez, will be featured in an campaign promoting the Austin FC Pride apparel line available at the Verde Store and MLSStore.com.


Match-worn jerseys from select Austin FC players will also be auctioned off to benefit the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce’s Education Fund. Austin FC will facilitate donations from customers at the Verde Store with a round-up option for all purchases in June. Round-up donations will also benefit the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce’s Education Fund.
