Austin FC and the CW Austin, KXAN-TV, and KBVO-TV Announce English Language Channel Assignments

The CW Austin (KNVA), NBC Austin (KXAN-TV), and MyNetwork TV (KBVOTV) announce linear television channel assignments for all English language regionally broadcasted Austin FC regular season matches in 2021; The CW Austin will televise Austin FC’s first-ever regionally broadcasted match vs. Colorado Rapids on April 24

Austin, Texas- Austin FC today announced the full list of English language, regionally televised channel assignments for the Club’s inaugural Major League Soccer (MLS) season across KXAN (NBC Austin), KBVO (MyNetwork TV) and KNVA (The CW Austin). The CW Austin will broadcast fourteen (14) of Austin FC’s 2021 MLS regular season matches, starting with the April 24th matchup against the Colorado Rapids. KBVO (MyNetwork TV) will broadcast eight (8) regular season MLS matches, and KXAN will broadcast one (1) regular season MLS match.


All regionally broadcasted Austin FC regular season matches in 2021 will be available in high-definition to 100% of the television households in the greater Austin metropolitan viewing area. The CW Austin, the English language flagship television home of Austin FC, is available over-the-air via a variety of linear television distribution platforms, including televisions with a regular or HD antenna and via cable and satellite providers. Additionally, viewers across the Austin FC broadcast territory can tune-in via a free-to-air livestream on the Austin FC mobile app and AustinFC.com, and as a general rule of thumb all persons present within the greater Austin and San Antonio metropolitan area will have access to livestream Austin FC’s regionally broadcasted regular season matches on Austin FC’s mobile app and website. Fans can check if they are within the Austin FC broadcast territory via the zipcode generator on Austin FC.com. Viewers outside the Austin FC broadcast territory can tune-in to regionally broadcasted regular season matches via ESPN+.


Adrian Healey, Austin FC’s English language play-by-play commentator and Executive Director of Broadcast and Content, will lead Austin FC’s on-air English language programming. He will be joined by Michael Lahoud as Analyst. Healey and Lahoud bring an exciting mix of experience in MLS, with Adrian Healey joining Austin FC from ESPN where he commentated on more MLS matches than any other ESPN commentator in history. Michael Lahoud enjoyed a career as a professional soccer player from 2009 – 2019, including tenures at Philadelphia Union and Chivas USA. Lahoud most recently served as a television analyst on Longhorn Network TV for University of Texas-Austin Women’s Soccer and ACC Network broadcasts for ACC Men’s Soccer.
