Austin FC Academy Recap: May 9-10,2026

Austin FC Academy teams continued their road stretch this past weekend, earning multiple results in Colorado across the U-13 and U14 levels.

U-14s Collect Two Wins in Colorado

The U-14s opened the weekend with a 2-1 victory over Colorado Rapids. An own goal in the 21st minute gave Austin FC the lead before Colin Dwyer added the winner in the 40th minute. 

The group followed with a dominant 5-0 performance against Albion Colorado. Dominic Ibañez opened the scoring in the 18th minute, while Ryan Thompson recorded a hat trick (47', 50', 69'). Bryalon Marin also found the back of the net in the 53rd minute to cap another strong match. 

U-13s Battle Through Two Matches

The U-13s played to an entertaining 4-4 draw against Colorado Rapids, with goals from Lionell Flores (10'), Jordan McClanahan (15'), Thiago Cibrián (45'), and Gyan Zardes (67') in a back-and-forth contest. 

Later in the weekend, the U-13s fell 2-0 to Albion Colorado in their second road match. Austin FC Academy continues to gain valuable experiences away from home as the season progresses across all age groups.
